Welcome to the Western North Carolina Civil War Round Table
The mission of the Western North Carolina Civil War Round Table to promote interest in and disseminate knowledge of the American Civil War, through various speakers at regular Round Table meetings and other special events. It shall also be a goal of the Round Table to promote, encourage, and support Civil War Battlefield Preservation.

Roundtable Discussion of
THE BATTLE OF KENNESAW MOUNTAIN
June 19 - July 2, 1864
A discussion about the destination of our Spring trip will be led by 3 of our very knowledgeable RT leaders. Ray Rouser will begin the discussion with an overview of Sherman's Atlanta Campaign that lead to the battle at Kennesaw Mountain , this site that witnessed some of the heaviest fighting of the Atlanta struggle.
Our President, Paul Turner, will present the Southern soldiers view of the battle. Chuck Beemer, Vice President of WNCCWRT, will offer the Union soldiers perspective.
Attending members are encouraged to bring their questions and participate in the discussion.
